Cookie Policy

Last updated September 12, 2026

Most of what this site stores is not a cookie at all: it is a small note kept in your own browser, which never travels to us. Either way, you decide.

What is actually in use today

As of the date above, this site runs no analytics and no advertising technology. The typefaces are served from our own server rather than from Google, so opening a page does not hand your IP address to anyone. The complete list is short:

NameKindWhat it doesHow long
cm-langLocal storageRemembers whether you chose English or SpanishUntil you clear your browser
cm-motionLocal storageRemembers that you asked to see the animated version of the pageUntil you clear your browser
cm-consent / cm_consentLocal storage and cookieRemembers the choice you made here, so we stop asking6 months

All three are strictly necessary: they exist only to do what you asked the site to do. They cannot be switched off, because switching them off would mean the site forgetting your language every time you open a page.

The three categories

Strictly necessary

Everything in the table above. Always on.

Measurement

Would tell us which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Nothing in this category is running today. If we ever add it, it only starts after you allow it.

Marketing

Would let us show relevant content on other platforms and see whether it worked. Nothing in this category is running today. If we ever add it, it only starts after you allow it.

How your choice is applied

This is the part that usually gets faked, so here is exactly what happens. Anything that needs permission is written into the page in a dormant form that a browser will not execute. It is only turned into a live script at the moment you allow that category. If you refuse, it is never activated at all.

If you grant permission and later take it back, we delete the cookies that are not strictly necessary and reload the page. A script that has already run cannot be un-run, so reloading is the only honest way to make "off" actually mean off.

What you see depends on where you are

  • Europe, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil and other consent-first countries: nothing beyond the strictly necessary runs until you say yes. Refusing takes exactly one click, in the same place and at the same size as accepting.
  • United States and Canada: you get a notice and a standing opt-out, including the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer.
  • Everywhere else: a notice and the same preference controls.

We work out which of these applies from your browser's own time zone and language settings. We do not look your IP address up in a location service to do it.

Changing your mind

Use the link in the footer of any page. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets everything including your language choice.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale and sharing. Because we run no cross-site tracking at all, this changes nothing in practice today, but the commitment stands for the day it might.
