This policy explains what happens to your information when you use carlosmena.digital. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
This site is operated by Carlos F. Mena Bonilla, Realtor® Associate with REEG International, and founder of Pulppo App LLC. For privacy law purposes we are the controller of the information described here.

What we collect
What you type into a form
Every form on this site is voluntary. Depending on which one you use, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, city, the kind of property or business you are asking about, budget and financing, timeline, co-buyer details, how you heard about us, and whatever you write in the free-text field.
What the site stores in your browser
Your language choice, whether you asked for the animated version of the page, and a record of your cookie decision. All of this stays on your device. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.
What the server logs
When a form is submitted, our server records the IP address the submission came from and the time. This is used to stop automated abuse and nothing else.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site. We do not ask for or store financial account numbers, social security numbers, or identity documents through this website. If a transaction reaches the stage where documents like that are required, they are handled through the brokerage's own secure channels, never through this site.
Why, and on what legal basis
| What we do | Why | Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and advise you | Because you asked us to | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering |
| Keep a record of the enquiry | So we can pick up where we left off, and because real estate activity carries record-keeping duties | Legal obligation and legitimate interest |
| Remember your language and display preferences | So the site behaves the way you left it | Strictly necessary for a service you requested |
| Block automated abuse of the forms | To keep the contact channel usable | Legitimate interest in the security of the site |
| Measurement and marketing, if ever enabled | To understand what is useful and to reach people who might need this | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Your information reaches only:
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the site and the message you send.
- Our email provider (Google, for the Gmail inbox that receives form submissions).
- The brokerage, REEG International, where a transaction requires it.
- Professionals you ask us to involve — lenders, title companies, attorneys, inspectors — and only with your knowledge.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We are preparing to move enquiries into a customer relationship management system (GoHighLevel). When that happens, this policy will name it before it goes live.
Where it is processed
We are based in Florida, in the United States. If you write to us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there. For transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on your explicit consent and on the necessity of the transfer to take steps you requested before a contract. You are entitled to ask us what safeguards apply to your particular case.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not go anywhere: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Enquiries that become a working relationship: for the length of the relationship and then for as long as Florida real estate record-keeping rules require, which is generally five years from the end of the transaction.
- Abuse-prevention logs: a rolling window measured in days.
- Your cookie decision: six months, after which we ask again.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to cmena.realtor@gmail.com and say what you want; we answer within 30 days.
If the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA or a similar law applies to you, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, to receive your data in a portable format, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what came before, and to complain to your national data protection authority. We will never make you pay for exercising a right, and we will never treat you differently for it.
United States privacy rights
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what we collect, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising. The opt-out link in the footer is there anyway, so the choice is always in your hands. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
California residents may also designate an authorised agent to make a request on their behalf. We may need to verify the request with you directly.
Children
This site is meant for adults doing business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to cmena.realtor@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted, are rate-limited against automated abuse, and land in an access-controlled folder and a private mailbox. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.
Changes
When this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date at the top and, if the change affects what we do with your information, we ask for your cookie choices again.
Questions about any of this go to cmena.realtor@gmail.com.
